Starting from a photographic study of 24 shots, the image is digitally recomposed with the intention of bringing it to life using alternative photography pigmentation techniques.

Zuloaga in fact met the Countess de Noailles in 1899 in the Parisian salon of Mme. Ricard. In 1913 he executed his fascinating portrait, acquired shortly after by Ramón de la Sota for the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum.
